QUOTE OF THE WEEK
"I think a man and a woman should choose each other for life, for the
simple reason that a long life with all its accidents is barely enough time for a man and a woman to understand each other."
- William Butler Yeats

Learn to play the piano by ear I took piano lessons on and off for brief periods of my childhood, but never really got the hang of it. So... I gave up. As a senior adult, I finally made a commitment to learn to play, but by ear - no more of those once-a-week lessons, red books, blue books, etc.. After searching out numerous resources, I selected the materials of Matthew Stephens of West Plains, Missouri. If you have always wanted to play the piano, but for one reason or another put it off, I highly recommend these materials and the man who developed them. GDB

Christian Marriage Counseling
Many people in the "Christian Community" prefer to seek counseling
services from professionals who are clearly dedicated Christian
believers themselves. While Dr. Blake's satisfied clients throughout
his nearly three decades of counseling certainly are not limited to
those of faith, Christian couples can expect the following nine
things from him:
- Your religious faith will not only be deeply understood and highly respected, but will also be encouraged and enhanced.
- You will never need to feel embarrassed or hesitant to express your faith nor to refer to your beliefs as a basis for your personal behaviors or marital relationship.
- You can feel comfortable in requesting your counselor to use Biblical principles and guidance in planning and conducting your counseling sessions.
- You will not be pressured to engage in activities or behaviors that run counter to your Christian belief system.
- Your counselor will have a good background of Biblical knowledge.
- He has a deep understanding of the spiritual bases for your difficulties as a couple and will greatly value the application of Biblical principles and Christian values to your lives.
- Your counselor is dedicated to doing his best to model Christian principles in his own personal, family and business life. His personal priorities are God, Family, and Work.
- He is comfortable but flexible and judicious with using the Bible and prayer in counseling sessions; he is sensitive to the desires of his clients regarding these matters.
- Your counselor believes in prayer and will often privately seek Gods' guidance in his work with you and God's blessings for you to help you face and overcome the challenges in your marriage.
